Frost Laboratory

The Frost Lab of the Robotics and AI (RAI) group at Luleå University is a cutting-edge research facility equipped with the latest technologies to support advanced experimentation and validation of novel concepts. The lab features a Vicon optical tracking camera system, enabling centimeter-level position accuracy with a high refresh rate, as well as a private 5G Standalone (SA) network for high-speed communication and edge computing. Additionally, the lab is supported by a high-throughput Wi-Fi network and includes a dedicated 6x6-meter drone arena, surrounded by protective netting and a cushioned floor to maximize safety and reduce the risk of equipment damage. A fully equipped workshop is also available, providing comprehensive support for research and development activities.
